Ingredients
Pairs well with
Facial Gua Sha is a gentle scraping massage using a smooth-edged tool along meridian points and lymphatic pathways.
Benefits include brighter skin, reduced puffiness, softened fine lines and wrinkles, firmer cheeks and jawline, relief from eye fatigue and dark circles, easing tension headaches, and improved lymphatic drainage.
Cleanse your face first. Apply a generous layer of face oil or rich moisturizer or serum to ensure the tool glides smoothly without tugging the skin. Full lubrication is essential to prevent irritation.
Always work the Gua Sha tool from inside → outside, and bottom → top for lifting effect. Following natural lymphatic flow and drain downward along the neck. Typical order:
- Start at forehead (YinTang upward)
- Eyebrows/eyes (Cuanzhu → Yuyao → Sizhukong → temple)
- Temples (small clockwise circles)
- Nose area (Yingxiang up along nasolabial folds)
- Mouth (Dicang upward)
- Cheeks (Jiache up to temple)
- Jaw/chin (Chengjiang along jawline → ear → down neck for drainage)
Using 3–5 strokes per line, Guasha whole face takes 5–10 minutes.
Use light pressure on the face, and only use the weight of the Guasha tool as pressure on delicate areas around the eyes.
- Normal to oily skin: 2× per week
- Sensitive skin: once per week (or every 10 days if very reactive)
Start slow if you're new.
Do not use if you have:
- Open wounds, inflammation, infection, or skin cancer/growths on the face
- Pregnancy (especially early stages)
- Bleeding disorders (low platelets, hemophilia, leukemia, blood thinners)
- Fever
- Very sensitive skin → Use hydrating cream instead of oil, very gentle pressure, max 5 min, once every 10 days.
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure (>160/100) or hyperthyroidism → Avoid temple area; keep sessions short (≤5 min).
- Heavy menstruation (first 3 days) → Skip entirely; light flow → Avoid lower face points.
- Uncontrolled diabetes → Skin bruises easily; use extra lubricant and very light pressure.
- Light bruising — Cold compress first 24 h (10 min sessions), then warm. Pause Gua Sha until healed.
- Redness/pain — Stop immediately, rinse face, apply soothing ceramide lotion. Avoid heat/sun/irritants for 3 days.
- Dizziness/palpitations — Lie down, drink warm water/glucose. Next time: do it 1 hour after eating, limit to 5 min.
- Allergy/itch/hives — Rinse off product. Mild: calamine lotion. Severe: seek medical help.
1. Wash with soap + water after every use.
2. Disinfect:
- Wipe with 75% alcohol swab (let dry)
- Soak in boiling water 5–10 min (skip for jade—risk of cracking)
- UV sterilizer 5–8 min
3. Store in a clean, dry, sealed container in a cool place.
Test Guasha with face oil on a small area (behind ear or jawline) and wait for 24 hours to check for reaction. Always use gentle pressure—never force or scrape back-and-forth. Stop if it hurts. After Gua Sha, wipe excess oil, then apply a hydrating mask or moisturizer.
